National Council of Yoga & Naturopathy: Advancing Holistic Health, Natural Healing, and Wellness Through Traditional Practices

The National Nursing and Midwifery Council (an autonomous statutory registration body (Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi))
works to promote the development of nursing skills and practices in compliance with the Nursing Act. The Nursing Council operates as an autonomous statutory body in 2021.

Establishment and maintenance of uniform standards of nursing education in Delhi (India).

Registration of successful candidates from Delhi (India) for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner Critical Care as Registered Nurse-Registered Midwives (RNRM).

Our Mission and Vision

Our aim: To establish uniform standards of training for nurses, midwives, and health visitors.
We strive to ensure that everyone has access to equitable nursing education and quality health care.

The functions of the NNMC are:

Establishment and maintenance of uniform standards of nursing education in Delhi (India).

Registration of successful candidates from Delhi (India) for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner Critical Care as Registered Nurse-Registered Midwives (RNRM).

Reciprocal registration of candidates with educational qualifications from recognized institutions in other states.
Renewal of registration upon expiry of validity.
Verification of registration and diploma certificates from authorities within and outside India.
Recognition of all new ANM, GNM, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner Critical Care institutions in the state of Delhi after the issuance of NOC by the State Government.

Recognition of diploma courses i.e. ANM and conduct examinations for admission to GNM.

  • Develop a standardized curriculum for yoga and naturopathy education.
Public Awareness & Outreach
  • Organize workshops, health camps, and national campaigns to educate the public about natural healing.
  • Utilize digital platforms and media to spread awareness on the benefits of holistic health.
Regulation & Standardization
  • Set guidelines for educational institutions, practitioners, and therapy centers to ensure quality and safety.
  • Develop ethical standards and accreditation for professionals in the field.
Integration with Mainstream Healthcare
  • Collaborate with hospitals, medical institutions, and wellness centers to integrate National Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Promote holistic wellness solutions for chronic disease management.
Financial & Institutional Support
  • Provide grants, scholarships, and funding for research and educational initiatives.
  • Support institutions in establishing National Nursing and Midwifery Council
Disease Prevention & Management
  • Promote natural therapies for stress management, lifestyle disorders, and mental well-being.
  • Develop specialized programs for women’s health, geriatric care, and workplace wellness.
National & International Collaboration
  • Partner with global wellness organizations, AYUSH institutions, and universities to advance the reach of yoga and naturopathy.
  • Participate in international events like National Nursing and Midwifery Council to promote holistic health worldwide.

Fake certificates will be seriously investigated and strict action will be taken if deemed appropriate.

Inactive and Active NNMC Registration Certificates - If the candidate is not employed in Delhi and holds an NNMC certificate, it is also stamped with an inactive stamp. Now, if the candidate wishes to work in Delhi again, the certificate is stamped with an active stamp and the certificate is made valid for six months along with the offer letter. The NNMC stamped the inactive stamp for the period when the candidate was not employed in the state of Delhi. If the candidate holds an NNMC registration certificate with an inactive stamp, he or she is eligible to apply for the job.
